newbie some pics of my 7

Hi , i just bought an 88 rx7t2 never had a rotary car before only pistons, here are a couple of pics.I have been searching all the threads here for info ,it seems like some of the problems my car has are common for this car from what i have read here.my sunroof is not working properly, my stock radio and cassette does not work ,but the cd works.I had a power steering leak, i patched it up with a hose and some clamps mazda wanted $180.00 for the part . I also have from what i read here the wiper switch problem ,it only works on 1 speed, have a sloppy shifter from what i read in my searches ,and i also have a add coolant buzzer driving me crazy. i hope it is something simple and not the coolant seals from what i have read here.I dont see any white smoke and the car runs good,i read to only buy mazda thermastat so i picked one up , i have not intsalled it yet.from what i read here my temp should only go 2 a 1/4 on the gauge ,mine goes half way and sometimes 3/4 of the way.I also had a whining sound when my speed reached 40 miles and up,i replaced my rear end fluid with penzoil syncromesh , and i put redline mt-90 in my tranny and no more noise.now i need to get the ac fixed starting to get hot and humid here.sorry for rambling on ,i will post better pics next time.

nice car, and welcome to the club

the 3/4 temp gauge thing is deffinitly not good... that should probably be the first thing you try to fix..

just make sure you memorize the FAQ and read the archives and you should be good

you should check your cooling system for air bubbles or any sorts of malfunctioning, like stuck closed thermostat or what not. if you say it SOMETIMES go higher and lower, and if it drops all of a sudden, (so it rise, then fall, rise again, then fall again) most likely there are air bubbles in your coolant =)

nice car btw, very clean

Really nice car, looks very clean. HAve you checked coolant level? Maybe its just low on coolant. Also there is a sensor ontop of the rad, check to see if its connected. It should be right next to where the fill cap is at.

And yea, the wipers is a common problem. If you talk to icemark or go to his site, he sells them and fixes them.
