newbie needs some help.
I just bought a garage kept (never seen a winter) 87 n/a with 40k original miles. After research I found my 3800 rpm hesitation is pretty common. It also has a bit of a rough idle. But other than that its a peppy little thing with no other problems.
I wanna get everything running real nice. I'm going to by the sun auto ground kit, and I was wondering if I installed the Hose techniques kit would that seal up vaccum leaks if I had any? Any other suggestions would help as well.

The rough idle might be caused by a number of things, possibly the tps. Just search and check the faqs.
If you have a cracked hose, then yes, new hoses would fix that leak.

Welcome to the forum.
If you don't kno much about rotaries, you will find they are very smooth with lots of power, but not much low end torque.
They like to be revved up, and should be daily.
About half the stuff on top of the motor is emmissions control.
The other half is idle control.
Read through the FAQ threads at the top of this forum. Lots of good info there.
Here's a good reference site:

I have a copy of the manuals at the link in my sig.
Download whatever you need..

You can really any hose "kit" to replace all the vacuum hoses. I generally just buy a generic selection of silicone vacuum hose and then replace the hoses one at a time...
Vacuum hoses contribute to a lot of vacuum leaks, but there are a few other causes like intake manifold gaskets and the large black air hose that leads from the AFM to the throttle body.
