newbe s4, s5 question

newbe s4, s5 question

are the fenders from a s4 and s5 inerchangeable? it dosent seem line up, but my 7 might just be that f-ed up i cant tell

IIRC the molding is different. The fiberglass fenders on my S4 are made for an S5, and the molding doesn't match. I can't change it either because it's molded like that.

Yeah, the molding profile is different but the fender metal is the same and the molding can be swapped.

I have been told by a few people that have changed bumpers and fenders that the bumpers only line up "correctly" to their respective generations fenders. s5 front bumper to s5 fenders and s4 bumper to s4 fenders. You can physically get them to mount but they just don't line up perfectly.

drill a new hole (or holes) in the front of the fender where the bumper mounts go through...problem solved.

I have a s4 fender on my s5 car. I just drilled a couple holes for the molding near the door.
