Newbe needs info on coolant seals

1988 with about 128K miles on it, running fine except for the fact that it needs coolent every day. No sign of any leaks. I have been reading the postings and I am thinking that it has a coolent seal problem. Will be doing the coolent seal temp fix this week. Thanx for the info and a great site. Keep up the good work.

So, what was the question?

A cooling system pressure test is the easiest way to confirm. Keep it pressurized for 12 hours or so, then look for leaks and start it up...Huge clouds of white smoke would indicate a coolant seal failure.
