new wheels help

hey ppls i just blew a tire and thinking that i should just get some bigger wheels while im in the process of getting new tires, but i think im gonna have to buy online so i can save myself a few bux. im wondering what dimensions of the tire will i need to look at for getting 17 or 18 inch wheels. also if anyone has pics with the size of the tire that would be nice too

The "ideal" size will depend on a bunch of different variables. Like whether you're concerned about keeping the speedometer/odometer exactly accurate (then you'll want to keep the overall tire diameter close to stock). Do you want a "stretched" look or a more conventional fitment? What offset are the wheels you're looking at? What suspension do you have (stock base, stock "hard" suspension, aftermarket)? Do you want to add wider fenders, etc., etc.

Another place you can try is The Tire Rack (www.tirerack.com) where you can see what various wheel and tire combos supposedly fit your car, assuming everything is to be kept more or less stock.
