New 'Vert in the driveway! (link to pics)

Well, last night at around 9:00 pm I took delivery of my shiny new (to me) 1988 Cabriolet. It's got around 140k on the clock and has been kept up VERY well. No obvious smoke on startup, new exhaust, paint, top, and Yoko AVS Intermediates.

I took some pictures this morning once I got to work....

I haven't owned it 24 hours yet and it has it's first mod: C's Short shifter

Tonight I'm gonna stick the N1 on it and run around tonight just to see what it sounds like in a vert vs a coupe

Thanks!

I love the shifter. If you're like me and you're serious about your driving, you'd want one. It's literally 1st gear....<click-click> 2nd gear....<click-click> 3rd gear. The throw is very short and you feel the shifter going through the gates with a very notchy feel. No slop at all!

Hey Brian, quick question....

Where abouts did you pick up that 'vert? I wonder if it's the same one I was looking at ealier this week...

At any rate, doing mods already? Heh, you're gonna have fun driving it all the way to California... atleast if I read that right on the list.

SWEEEEET. You'll love it. And after a while in it, all other cars seem to become a little confined. Let me know if your intreasted in what speakers will fit in your car as I just went through THAT whole "research" in my 88 vert.
Again sweeeet.

I'll see if I can answer all the questions in one post...

Mods: Right now it has an Apex N1 catback, a C's Short shifter, and a cone that I put on today. Tomorrow it will be getting a set of AGX's and coilovers, the wheels off of the FC in my .sig, a viper alarm, a decent stereo system with a sub in the spare tire location, replace the FPD and the clutch line.

Future mods: It will be converted to turbo, but I don't want to make too much power with it. I think a plain vanilla TII swap with no emissions, a TID and full exhaust with the appropriate mods will suffice.

How much for the C's? I bought it through a friend in Japan for $80 shipped. It was used, but only used for roughly a month.

The car already has a set of jam up speakers in it. I forgot the name, but I do remember they are in the mid to upper class range. I'm going to put my amp in it tomorrow, fix a wiring glitch and wire the headrest speakers up.

I've got a LOT of crap to do to this thing tomorrow!
