new turbo = adjust bov?
You guys probably already know whats happening to my car as far as little to no boost. Well what I wanted to know is when I got my new turbo (upgraded) turbo did I need to adjust the bov for it to be able to spool correctly, or should I not even need to do that? I checked to see if the wastegate actuator arm was stuck and I think it is because I couldn't move it with my hand. I just can't get this turbo to spool.
Your BOV should only open under strong vacuum, so it shouldn't need adjusting when you change turbos.
How do you know the turbo's not spooling?
The wastegate has a strong spring, so you may not be able to move it by hand. You need to apply pressure to the actuator.

Yes the spring is stong,
however there is a small possibility that your wg accuator is gone.
you can try to wire your wg shut, and the start the car and rev it to see if you can accually build boost. I think that you should be able to build at least a little higher than 0 in neutral not much but a little! don't drive witht he WG Wired that is only asking for trouble!

The wastegate is only there to limit boost. If it's stuck closed, boost will skyrocket. If it's stuck open, max boost will be exactly the same but it'll take longer to get there. Either way, a malfunctioning wastegate won't cause "no boost".

sorry for the tripple post nz just kept getting an error, my bad. Well I have the hks boost controller that shows me when I have vacuum and when I have pressure and when I drive the vacuum is at 30 then when I start reving it it will go up to 0 and thats it. The butt dyno tells me that I'm getting some boost but I hear no bov making its noise when I switch gears and when my old turbo use to spool it would through me to the back of my seat now it doesn't.
