New tires
I've ordered new tires... Yokohama AVS dB series, in 225/60/15. (Stock convertible size is 205/60/15, so they are a little taller)
Yes, I know the AVS Intermediates are better... at least on dry pavement... but the AVS dB series is better in the wet, lasts longer, and is better in the dry than MOST other performance tires... and they were only $77 each locally. (The were supposed to be $80 each, but Discount Tire had them for $77 and my local shop matched the price for me. I really like Kaufmann Tire!)
I'm sure they are MUCH better than the "round rubber things" I have on there. (I won't honor those with the term "tire.")

And the only 225/55 available that I could find were Michilen Pilot touring tires... lower performance, and $175 each. No thanks.

the spacers won't make your tires smaller... 225/60 is over an inch taller then 205/60. you would have been better off with a smaller tire like 225/50 if they make no 55's
