I just installed a sony xplod deck in my S5 gxl and now everytime I hit the brakes or turn the headlights on(or off) the deck shuts off for a moment and turns back on at the same place it left off on a cd. I am confused

I replaced my dead alternator a while back with a used one and it has been good to me since then but I am wondering if it was possible that i got an s4 alternator and maybe that is affecting me.

I didnt try to wire the new deck into the stock amp(not even sure if i have one), could that be my problem?

I wonder if maybe I accidentally swapped the red and yellow wire around. I figured as long as they both were getting power i was okay but maybe i am wrong.

Has anyone run into this problem. I spent some time searching already for answers so im posting for help.

You know I had this issue Today but it wasnt when I hit the brakes it was when I was off the gas. It was strange it happened when i was sitting at a light tonight on my way home from work. (I was not on the break) and when I Stopped my Radio turned off I got an Alpine deck and some led's I have lighting up my Tach turned off aswell as My Radar Dector (everything is plugged into my cig lighter accept the deck)

I dont know what it might be I think it might be my alternator.
