A few things...

1) This is NOT my kit. We don't make these; Boss (a company in Japan) makes them.

2) It doesn't matter to me whether or not I like them; I'm simply sharing the news about a new product available to your market - which is a feat in it of itself, considering almost NO ONE is investing in the FC market in Japan. So IMHO, instead of bashing it, maybe we should have constructive criticism on how to improve on it, such as by utilizing the cover and making our own headlights.

I "plug" for products I offer ALL the time, because I offer *everything* in Japan. I can literally get *ANYTHING* that is over there, including countless rare & discontinued parts. So what's your suggestion...that I never share w/ the community about what's available, simply because I sell it? Not only is that unrealistic, it's against forum precedent. For YEARS now, vendors hard work & research has paid off by posting the availability of a new part, and subsequently that does often generate interest and sales for that vendor. Is it a for sale thread per say? No. Is it a GB thread? Definitely not. So why you have a problem with this, I don't know. But I CAN tell you this... If that's the attitude you present to vendors with who are trying to help you guys out by bringing to your attention and offering to you what you otherwise would not know about and wouldn't be able to get, then I'd be perfectly happy to not bother, and stick w/ the 3rd Gen guys who are bit more respectful. Guess I should rethink adding FC parts to the new website's parts database/catalog...

Hey Ramy, glad to see someone making a legitimate attempt to bring a quality JDM product to us dumb Americans. Maybe posting the LED Tail lights that Boss offers would have been a better idea, considering that taillights are lower on the controversial totem pole. Not all of us are unappreciative of what you do. I might be hitting you up this summer for the LED tails.

Thanks,

J

Just my opinion......................

No matter what his intentions may be, why don't we use this opportunity to develop a positive outcome to this thread. Customized parts for our FC's are already scarce enough so maybe we should encourage this thread by submitting our own ideas (drawings) of what FC owners want. I'm not very artistically inclined but will gladly provide constructive input when the time comes.

Just a thought. No need to bash this guy if you don't have something positive to say.

by the first page I had the feeling Remy would feel the way he does now.

It is a shame about the FC market- regardless Remy I do hope you will share new products with some of us when they come out- and also some of those older parts that you come across.

This thread hits close to home for me as well. I could'nt find the light kit I wanted so I started to make my own. I would have rather bought a kit which meant less fiberglass work for me. If we keep flaming others ideas then the aftermarket offerings will truly dwindle away. Rest assured when I finish mine I will be hesitant to offer it for fear of the same treatment. Where's the love for the art that is customizing? Sure, I think there are alot of hideous 7's out there, but everyone has different tastes. Also, yes the housing is o.k., the lights don't flow with the car. A little more work and better lights it could sell.

yeah I think my thread got locked or moved by some moderator. Ill post some later. I might do a write up to explain how to make the things. I had projectors fitted in a housing with a lexan cover. Very good looking, you just have to cut the radiator support for them to fit. I was selling them but I have gotten stuck lately as usual so I dont take any more orders lately.

Ramy, thanks for posting this here. I wouldn't buy 'em, personally, but if something were made like the kit shown on the Miata (even though it looks a bit close to the East Bear kit IIRC), or the kit you posted with a more refined look, I'd be in.

Actually, that one you showed would be potentially full of win if you could fit lights closer to the size of the East Bear ones in there....

Don't let those ******** ragging on this get you down on the FC headlight market; PLEASE let us know if anything else cool comes up.

Oh, and what's the deal with those tail lights one guy mentioned? pics?

I as well think the housing looks ok, but the current lights don't seem right at all, looks really pieced together, like shabby. I am interested in purchasing a nice sleek headlighht kit if I ever find one but I will pass here.

Keep us posted if they make em nicer. Thanks.

Those Boss housings are OK in my opinion. If they had 2 "dome-type" xenon lamp housings on each side it might look cool. Or a bulb housing long enough to take up most of the space.
How much is that kit anyhow?
