new to site and query

hi everyone, i am in the uk and have just bought a 1987 2nd gen n/a sport, and have a question. I have never been in one before so i'm not sure about them but the car starts and runs fine, but if you raise the revs slowly when in neutral or when first pulling away, it seems to vibrate a fair bit as though it is misfiring, could this be caused by the distributer cap. if you rev quickly you don't get it.

Also are the rear brake shoes easy to replace as they are in desperate need of replacement

Any help greatly appreciated

Brakes are fairly straightforward- if you've done it on any other car, the RX-7 is no different...

Vibration and misfiring (hesitation) are two different things. Which is it?

Could be lots of things at this point. Search for the keyword "hesitation" and you'll be reading for days, lol, but you'll learn a lot, and you may just read a fair description of what your car is doing...

Read, read, read...Welcome
