read them

also the search function is your freind
as you may have noticed this is a large site with alot of members, every possible topic you can think of has been discussed dozens of times

just keep in mind you're looking to buy a 22 year old turbocharged sports car, it will have all the same problems as any other car of that age

Welcome to the forum, Nick. Turbo models were only available model years 87-91 in North America, so you must be looking at a swap, and keep in mind it may or may not have been done properly. Go to the Canadian section and see if any rotary shops are over towards your area (don't know myself), to have a good look at the car, incuding engine and turbo.

I hope you're not looking for a daily driver, because although a car like this can be reliable, it takes a little more TLC to keep it in top shape because of the age.

Saw the ad...funky hood, but not too bad. Keep in mind the 110PSI compression number doesn't tell much...you have two rotors and three chambers each, so you should still check compression (the gauge will bounce three times for each rotor revolution) to see what all the numbers are. More info on compression testing in the FAQ, sticky or archives. BTW, see my sig for the FSM (factory service manual).

BTW, yes, it says swap in the ad. Find out what model it was before (base, GX), and whether the 5-lug swap also included the 4-piston brakes up front. It can't be the other NA trim level (GXL) because that would already have the 4-piston brakes and 5-lugs, pw, rear wiper, AAS, etc.). Abbreviations in the FAQ or sticky.

You should always buy a stock car. You never know how half assed the job was done. My 2 cents.
