Hi all, I am new to the whole rotary motor scene bought a 86 n/a RX7. is there any special thing i have to do before i get it started. it has been sitting since the beginning of winter. also the guy i bought it from says it runs but wont idle any help would be appreciated. i will be trucking it home here by next week.

where in IL are you? I would hope it would just start. but you should do a search on this subject.

 

it was running before last winter but would not idle. the bought another car so took battery out and it has set till now. i just heard rumors that the apex seals go bad if they are setting to long. soon as i get her home will give update.
