Thumbs up New to the RX7 family!

Hey guys,
I'm new to the RX7 family here. Just bought myself an 87' RX7 GX. Im in love with the car already. It needs a bit of work to bring it back, but im working on it. What i'd like to ask is if there are any visual things I can do to my series 4 from other series'. I know that I can take the series5 tail lights for a nicer visual appearance.. is there any other "upgrades" I can do so to speak? Thanks guys for any information. I appreciate the help. Great site. Great cars.

Regards,

Ryan Lockman

Awesome!! Welcome to the family.

You could get some foglights, a stock spoiler, if you like like the S5 bumber better you can get that. There are some lips you can get for the front, and there are always body kits for them as well. But they do look great stock so you already have it made.

I'm trying to leave my nice TII stock looking, but the GXL is gonna get a wide body kit.

These are great cars, tons of fun, i don't drive either of mine much at all, really just been working ont hem for over a year now but I love em.

oh yeah, different rims, window tint and lowering springs would add to the visual appeal as well.

Welcome. I have an '86 GX. Look around here for some ideas and pictures. You may like the 5-bolt swap with/without 4-piston brakes, the TurboII mirrors (S4 or S5), maybe change to power windows, put in a LSD from some GXL's, or maybe some nice convertible or TurboII wheels if you change to 5-bolt.

GX - mid level 86-88 NA in Canada, maybe 89-91 also.

A/C, P/S, remote fuel and hatch, no P/W, no alarm, no AAS...maybe something else I'm forgetting.

In Canada, the GX was the "luxury base" model. Basically a base model but with sunroof, power mirrors, storage bins, power steering and a few other options.

A/C must have been optional because the GX that I had for a few years didn't have it.

you can do s5 bumps but it would look cleaner getting all the moldings to match.... if you're looking for a kit shineauto sells some nice replicas and a reasonable price...
