I know your pain. I rear ended a 1972 Dodge Pickup last month with my 240sx and I messed up the front right cornor of the car and it cause the car to have minor frame damage and that sucked more than anything and the cops were jerks becuase one of my 3 lights weren't working and i got 2 fixit tickets in less than a week

Dont fix it. Wait for more rain and try some more! Get the control and THEN you can get your car all shiny again

i know the pain

Around 3 years ago, i was driving hard on country roads in the UK. The roads wind between farms are a lot of fun.

It was around 2 in the morning, I was really pushing hard in dry conditions, came around a left hand corner at around 70mph ONLY TO BE FACED BY MUD COVERING THE ROAD

I was stright off the gas, but car the understeered. I was getting no responce from the steering. Dabbed the brakes to try to balance the car, didn't work!
Only one thing to do power out with some oversteer

It worked got control back, but the drift put the back end into the tree on the right side of the road, spun me round and i pilled into trees on the left.

What a mess + had to run 3 miles to get mates to get the thing out. Car was a real twisted heap.

ITS TRUE YOU NEVER KNOW WHATS ROUND THE CORNER, since then racing is for the track only. Which is great when i run rings around new cars on the track! and then tell them it cost me about £1000

Crap... that sucks. Looks like that RX-7 is now a parts car.

I can't really parse what you wrote about what happened, so I can't really guess if there's some advice to give for avoiding a similar outcome in the future.

I've been driving rwd without any electronic gadgets for a long time without any real difficulties, but sometimes, if your tires are a little bald, or you happen to hit an oil slick, you just end up as a passenger when you thought you were the driver.

Good luck with your transportation... at least nobody was injured, right? Cars can be replaced.
