New to rotaries and need some help
I just got two new to me cars, one an 86 and the other an 88 RX-7.
The 86 is a coupe and the 88 is a 2+2. Great body on the 2+2, good motor in the 86 coupe.
I plan on swithcing the motors, both 13B's, the good for the bad, and pulling some extra parts as well. The 88 needs a fender and a door. The 86 has both that are good.
I was wonder will these interchange, because I dont know if the size of both are different or not being one coupe and the other 2+2.
Also, the motor does crank but hasnt ran in almost a year. I dont have much knowledge when it comes to rotories, so what would be the best course of action when starting the motor for the first time?
Plan on dropping the tank and blowing out the lines of all old fuel and changing the oil, and plugs. One an OCH engine, I would just pour a court over the come and rockers and the like, crank it a few but like I said I dont have much knowledge when it comes to rotories.
Well if anyone can help me out with what needs to be done I would appreciate it.
Thanks

All S4 unibodies are the same, everything is interchangeable. Being a 2+2 doesnt change anything. The ATF (Auto tranny fluid) trick I have heard works good for engines that have not run for a while, I have no idea what MMO is though...
