Hey all, I have a new rebuild for my S4 N/A. I checked and found that there is Fuel and Spark. I had MMO in it and blew that out (pulled EGI fuse and cranked with throttle on floor). Then I cranked it, and gas vapors started coming out of the down pipe (just have a down pipe off the manifold right now).
What should I do next? Mess with the CAS, set TPS what???

Put in something thicker than MMO. Such as atf or motor oil. I have seen times that MMO would not start a car, when atf would.

Also you might need to change plugs, they foul easily.

 

yeah I tried to start my rebuild with mmo and it wouldn't start with that, I shoulda tried some ATF but oh well. I just pull started it instead.

 

Hey hypntyz7, I know that the plugs were fouled a few times from being in the old motor, should they start it any ways

 

if in doubt try another set. be it new or known working from another engine.

I am going to to it today before I go to work. I did check the plugs, and they are fouled as f*$k, so I am going to put in a new set.
