Talking New project car

well i guess i should post the pics i have n tell you about it.

on monday feb 13th i went to check out this FC its TSM (tornado silver metalic i think) 87 Gxl. Car was stripped but he claimed to have everything except the engine, Plus he would include a black leather interior from a black S5, i asked whats the lowest he would go and he said 500(can) i bought it and towed it home the same day. During towing they told me i had a stuck tire and they would have to charge 20 more to put it on dollies turned out to be a seized rear caliper but anyways that doesnt matter. Ive fully removed the burgundy interior it came with. Now im in the process of putting it back together. I have a streetport s4 motor waiting for it with roughly 30,000 km, it was suppose to go into a red fc but plans changed. Ive worked on a couple of FC's but nothing this major, so im counting on you guys to get me through it lol anyways here are some pics on the day i got the car. leave comments and opinions.

good luck with it, doesn't look like it needs that much work.

Hey, as long as the chassis is straight and it doesn't need that major of body work, $500 Canadian doesn't sound too bad (that's like $5 USD, amiright? )

Does it still have the tranny and rear-end?

^ ya well it doesnt have them installed... all it has on it as far as a drivetrain goes is the hubs, wheels, brakes, suspension, and a manual steering rack (well i think it is) I have a whole rear end w/ lsd assembly that i took out of another parts car though. It isnt really alot of work, the only problems im having s far are hardware related. nothing is really labeled and all the bolts are in big ziplock bags.

Update - I got the black dash on, everything bolted in except for 2 bolts. The bolts the hold the steering colum up. it seems that the threaded area in the dash is partialy covered. Going to try to grind a little section to open up the area. Door panels, handles and locks were installed. Everything was pretty much a direct swap. the armrest bolts didnt all line up, i got 3 out of 4 in though. Seatbelts and retractors were a direct swap. Im having trouble with the passenger side buckle. seems like the bolt thats on the other side of the floor boards has broke free of its welds, The bolt just turns. im going to have to wait till i get the car to my house to jack it up fully and take a look. I think thats pretty much it. today i hope to have the rear end interior installed. Stay tuned for another update
