I have gone to try and adjust it and now it idles at 1,500rpms.... What is going on here? I atempted to ajust it lower with the idle screw but that only solves the problem for a little bit.

Help!

Make certain the car was warmed up before adjusting the TPS. Make certain it was adjusted properly. Set t 1k ohm, or 1 volt, then final check with Mazda checker. Make sure no vacuum leaks. Also, check to be sure the fast idle (cold) linkage is working correctly, so that isn't holding the idle high.
