This morning when I drove my 88 vert to work it started making a strange creaking noise.. like a floor creaking - when i turn the wheel or hit a bump in the road. I started it and let it run until it was warm like always, and nothing new has happaned to the car, no rough driving, no wrecks of any sort. the power steering seems to be working just fine like it always has - just this new sound. Anybody have a clue?

check your struts, look and see if any of them is coated in oil?
