Seeing that young man next to the turbo, I get this horrible picture in my mind of getting too close to a woodchipper.

Nice new toy, Hope you enjoy it.

the gatoraide bottle is a 64oz bottle.

I dont have a pic of a stock one. my car is in jacksonville Fl undergoing 20k worth of upgrades.

It is going on a Stage III street ported s5 motor and s4 rotors with 3mm cryo hardened apex seals. I'll br running something around 23-24lbs. somewhere around there. my goal is to hit 500hp.

Also the powdercoating in my sig is a good friend of mine. He is doing alot of parts for my car. The blue housing and chromed rotor on that site is mine, he did it for me so when my car is done and at car shows i have a display of a rotor and housing so everyone and their father dose not ask me what size motor is in it. Also The pics at the bottom of his main page are my parts as well.

20K?? i hope that isnt all JUST to hit a measly 500hp!! worried about emissions? the engine BDC built for 87GTR hit 499 with 23psi on a half bridge. i believe he was using 2mm seals (and i HIGHLY doubt they were anything special; i assume atkins). the car was street driven and rode nicely with the half bridgeport, huge turbo and solid engine mounts.
you shouldnt have any trouble hitting 500hp, but good luck.
that car is actually in florida now.

I know tony and i know brian, i am a mod on Teamfc3s.org. No thats not just for hp, its for a

TII swap,
Full paint job (engine bay, ext)
Body kit put on and molded onto the car
ect. There is nothing that is not going to be changed out on the car. (well except the doors. lol) Everything on the car will be modifyed in one way or another. The car is currently being sponsored for Corksport and will be their 2005 spokes car.

I'm a newbie to turbo specs & all but why did you choose to go with such a big turbo to make ~500hp?

I read a for sale ad on TeamFC3S that a T04R can make similar power....why a T72 instead of a T04R?

I decided to go with a T-72 due to the fact that i can make more boost off from it. example. there is a guy who has a 13b RE swap with a T-04e and he's only able to hit like 399. there is a guy on here with similar mods to what i will have, the only exception is he has a T-66 and a few other things that are diffrent and he was able to hit 480+ so i figure with a little more boost i should be able to hit 500hp.

NYC i did not make it to the meeting. i was going to show up with my work truck but i got pulled into working. I should be at next years bbq's. thats what i am hoping for atleast.

500rwhp should not be a problem at all with good tuning. 25psi should flow you enough for 550+rwhp!!! 30psi can net you over 600rwhp (where the fun really begins!)!!

I agree that ~24psi should be over 500, but that said there are quite a few huge turbos making less, and smaller turbos making right about that. Large street port, proper manifold, and a 1.00AR Q trim T66, or a ~.81 Q trim 67 will make 500 at that boost(I hope) Good luck with your project. Alot of people do not understand the difference between making 500 rwhp for 5 minutes, and making a reliable 500. You can count on your hand the number of US street driven(regularly) 500rwhp FCs. 20K is not all that much to spend to make 500 reliable on an FC, This I know the hard way. Regards, Carl

Carl this car is going to be modded from the ground up. There is nothing on this car that is not being changed out or effected in one way or another. This car will be my DD So this will be a 500hp DD fc. When the car is done i will post vids of the dyno runs and pulls as well as lots of pics when its done.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Its the complements that keep you interested in your project. I havent had my fc on the road for almost a year and i am itching to get it back
