New "Performance" Clutch - Pedal really easy to push???

I just got done installing my new clutch. It is a Six Puck Sprung Hub with what is supposed to be a heavier duty pressure plate. The problem is that it's about half or maybe less firm than my stock Pressure Plate. When I had it fully tightened to the flywheel the fingers did look like they were almost going straight across instead of sticking out towards the tranny a little like the stock one did, could that be a problem? I bled the hydraulics and it did not change. I've checked the slave and it has over 1/2 inch of travel and does not appear to leak down any after being held down for a minute. I drove it around and it seems to engage just fine, but is less sudden or harsh than I was anticipating from a six puck. The pressure plate seemed extremely hard to push on when it was off the engine, I even stood on it trying to make the fingers move. Any insight would be appreciated as to how I can get it to be harder or if there might be a problem.

Does a "heavy duty" pressure plate necessarily mean that it will have more pressure? You should contact who ever you bought it from and ask them.

You shouldn't be able to move the fingers on the pressure plate when it is out of the car. There is a **** load of mechanical advantage working for you when you press the clutch pedal, but while its out of the car, its going to own you.

A sprung clutch has springs to prevent a harsh sudden engagement. I rode in a friends TII that had a 6 puck unpsrung clutch, and it had a neck breaking engagement if he wasn't careful.
