New owner...

Ok, i wrote quite an extensive intro for myself, then it magically disappeared when i hit enter. so the short version it is till i have time to sit back down for a little while...

This afternoon i picked up an 88 vert in trade for one of my collection of VW's. its just a getaround daily driver, its starts every morning and moves under its own power (im real picky if you cant tell) its a light blue that im sure you guys are familiar with, with the dark blue leather interior which is pretty beat up honestly. body has seen better days as well. it runs alright, has the bouncy idle thing going on that i seen as i was searching through the site last night (im a forum vet of several sites, (including VWVortex.com, for obvious reasons), so i wont ask anything dumb, unless i cant find it in a search.

owner did some things that i even found odd (ive owned an '86 7 a couple years ago, again a daily beater) such as removed tps sensor, removed oil pump (i have to get under the hood and look at that more closely) and has this ungodly loud twin grapefuit shooter exhaust that drove me batty coming back down the highway. and no its not even a nice brand name one. it does have a RB header, and a couple other little useless items that ive seen, but honestly the whole car is ghettoed up for the most part. oh well, ive started out with much less on some of the VW's ive owned (a non running CIS injection car is something to reckon with) shifter feels like this every once in a while, i seen a smiley that hits the target perfectly:

again, its just something to get me around till i get the beast back up and running( i also own a G60 Jetta Coupe that is acting like a 13 year old girl ATM, have to love Digifant injection ) then after thats done, ill probably sell it and get it back out on the selling block to you guys for probably very little. i have a lead on 2 VW pickups that need attention anyways, and i stick to my roots for toys.

pics will be up as soon as i can, i have a couple spots i use for local VW photoshoots that should compliment the color nicely. all pics are taken with a KM Dimage Z1, in high res (2000k x 1500k +) so if some of you guys like digital editing, ill give you something to play with for fun. and yeah, thats the short intro for the VW guy thats going to be around for a few. well organized site BTW.

Peace
