new master cylinder issue

new master cylinder issue

just purchased a new clutch master cylinder from mazda trix. stuck it in the car, and of course its not working. it holds the fluid but nothing happens when i press the clutch in. and i have been trying to pump it for 30 minutes and nothing happens. i took all the covers off of it that came with it so wtf?

Sounds like you didnt bleed it?

Are you bleeding it or just pumping it?

You need to bleed it. If you are, then try cracking the line at either end to bleed it rather than opening the bleeder valve on the slave.

thanks ^_^ yeah it just took forever to finnaly happen but eventually i got all the air out.
