New here, and with a question
Hello,
I'm a new member here, and I recently purchased an '87 Turbo II. This is my first RX-7, and I'm trying to learn all I can about them, however, I cannot seem to find information on a problem I have with my engine. The previous owner told me that his son overheated the engine when he was driving it, and the top of the radiator blew off when he got home. The PO epoxied the top back on to test the car and see what the problem was, and I will be buying a new radiator soon. The PO also told me that after this happened, the car would no longer hold coolant, but he could not find it leaking anywhere externally. My question is, what could to problem be? Did an internal coolant seal blow? Thanks in advance for any help, and I will be frequenting these forums to learn as much as I can about my new (to me) Turbo II.

Okay, so I should fill it up with coolant (none currently) and start it, to see if I have this white smoke? The PO said it ran before he parked it, so hopefully that shouldn't be a problem... Oh... wait, his son stole two of the spark plug wires; would I be able to find some wires to use temporarily at an auto parts store like Autozone or Advanced, or do I need to order some? Thanks for the prompt replies.
