MD New guy looking at FCs

I'm new to this board, but I've hung around a little bit on the V8 board so I have a basic knowledge of these cars. I was born into V8s and it's what I know, but lately I've been getting more and more interested into actually purchasing a rotary-equipped 7. I've already decided on an FC and I'm kind of leaning more towards an NA because I'm not proficient with turbos and I think for just learning the rotary an NA would be better. Now I also know the NA rotaries are much more durable than their turbocharged brethren, but if I went to purchase one how would I be able to tell if it was maintained properly? What sort of key signs should I look for to make sure the car I buy is not a turd?

Also, I'm trying to learn all the different types of porting (so confused!) does anybody happen to have a link to an article that explains the different types of porting?

How to buy- http://www.aaroncake.net/RX-7/buy1.htm

There's tons of info on this site, start out reading the 2nd gen FAQ. Good luck with your search for an FC, and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Thanks for the link! Good stuff, I'll make sure to print some of that stuff out before I go check out a car.
