Looks great! Try parking that in Oakland though. I'm tempted to keep mine looking like poop with no stereo.

I have the neons on a toggle switch under the dash so it stays off unless I decide to turn em on.

But but... it adds weight

Heh, anyways, I'm not a fan of neons but if you like it then all the more to you. Congrats.

I'm not sure if that black piece was prefabed or custom made. I think it was a hand built. The guy by the name of Jimmy did all the work on it. He made the door panels, rear panel behind the seats, side panels, everything. Got it done at www.stanscarstereo.com in Lubbock, TX. I'm not talented enough to make stuff like that, I can wire up and make things work but I can't make em look pretty.

Shoulda got one 8" Rockford power, ya keep down on the space/weight but you get the nice sharp bass. Love the door panels

Funny that the first thing I do to my FC's is remove all the radio equipment/speakers/etc. Guess I'm more car function than comfort

I thought I was hardcore

I run an mp3 deck with stock rear speakers, no fronts, and as much of the unused wiring I could get to chopped out. The stock rear speakers are still too heavy, though, so I'm replacing them with some cheap ones I can run off the deck.

Man that is some extensive stereo work! I used to be an audio freak but that was in my SUV, which I'm now selling. I guess my interests just changed, but I can definitely appreciate all the work you did!

Thanks All, been 2 years or so in the making.

It sounds really good f1blue. At the time I purchased the head unit and dvd player you couldn't get DTS with the headunit so I had to buy a seperate DVD player and DSP that you can see where the glove box should be. It plays movies much better than any theater I've been in. Really can get the effects of the sound location.

Ruthless1 I think he charged me 150-200 for both doors (not including the speakers). That guy does fantastic work. He is in charge of the demo units they build for different companies (Alpine, Orion, Fosgate, ect) I've seen some work of his for some of those guy that puts mine to shame big time. They have a much larger budget than me. I'm thinking one he did he said the company had around 100k in just the stereo. It was Badass.

SonicRat: Man I had so thoguht about taking it all out and selling it. I have the engine and suspension to go nuts with drift, road or drag and it's way too heavy as is to get really fast. It's only a mid 12 sec car in the 1/4, could be low 11's if I lose the 1000lbs of stuff but when I sit down and crank the tunes on I decide to keep it.

I got the car cleaned up today Node and will get some shots outside tomorrow. Supposed to be in the 70's here tomorrow!! Trying to get my wife to go with me and do some video making some runs but I think she is going to chicken out, my driving scares her. I think I can get my daughter to film though, she likes the whole hotrod thing. Will post some pics at least tomorrow and probably some burnout, launching whatever vids I can get also.
