New fuel pump

I'm getting a new fuel pump a Walbro 500HP one, and was wondering will the standard ecu have any problems with it? it's basically a direct bolt up to the old housing, my ecu is chipped, not that that makes a big difference.

At the moment i'm not sure, but i might have a supra or FD pump, or maybe just a standard one, can't really tell.

Some one correct me if I am wrong but I believe you should be just fine. The amount of fuel that gets into the engine is controlled by the FPR.

So you will now be able to use much larger injector and your Fuel pump will be capable of flowing enough fuel to keep your fuel pressure up.

Should I be looking at an aftermarket FPR? Such as the new SARD one?

If your ECU is chipped and you installl a high flow pump, you will run a bit rich.
You should invest a fuel controller such as an AFC which is like under $100 now for the 1stgen. I had one and it worked really well with remapped ECU, Walbro high flow pump, 720cc and upgraded compressor. I had to turn down a bit on the 5000+ rpm so as you can tell, it will run rich. You might lose some power on top as some ECUs are remapped for higher boost applications using stock fuel set ups.
