New FC Owner!
Just bought my FC 2 days ago! As far as I know it’s a 1987+ SE/GTU. The only way I can tell is because of the blue digital time display, and its manual windows, and sun roof. When I first caught view of it, the first thing I noticed was how scary clean it was! I popped the hood and preserving demons escaped and flew out. The engine was detailed and clean as a whistle. No dents, no dings, perfect paint. Red interior and burgundy exterior! I'm so happy to have caught it! 4000 dollars for it, and it came with 18' enki rims, and an expensive MP3 player already installed. When I got the car, the coolant light and buzzer kept going off. I fixed that easily though, had to remove all the air in the cooling system. It runs fine; besides the obvious need for new motor mounts and some numerous bushings of course. I'm extremely happy with it, and even though it’s a bit slower that the other cars I owned, it's a hell of a lot more fun to drive. The dealership didn't even know the model exactly. Does anyone know a page that decodes the VIN number? Thanks!

Couple seconds after you replied I already realized my car code error. Thanks for correcting me anyway though. Yeah, the car was really clean. I'll post up picks on monday.

Well I'm still a RX-7 n00b. However, I had two friends come with me who knows a whole lot more about FC's than me, one of which owns a Turbo II. They were suprised how clean it was and how well it ran. Had 103k miles on it, told me the price it was going for was good (3995 tagged). So I bit, and I got reeled in. But, I came out very satisfied.

I would say thats a good price for finding an FC, at least here in the bay area they go for that price all the time. When you find one for less it needs some paint/engine work done to it. Unless you're one of those lucky finders. Which I was not. I don't want to share any pictures untill I can get some of the ugly crap off.
