New FC on the board

Hey guys. I joined the board a couple days after I bought my new 1990 S5, but I've been lurking for a while. I figured I'd post some pics of her in my first post.

She's completely stock so far, but that probably won't last very long. I've already got a growing kill list.

@r33: The car itself has 120,000 miles, but the engine is a refurbished one from Mazda with 2900 miles. I got the whole thing for $5500; and that price includes the brand new Pirellis the previous owner put on the day he showed it to me, and the sound system (three 8-inch JL Audio subs, in a custom box behind the seats).

@Phantomhp: I'm between Dallas and Fort Worth.

Listen really really close to me for a second.

You have an INSANELY nice Turbo 2. You don't want to end up killing that fresh Mazda engine, either.....

ANY mod you plan on doing, ASK!! what support mods you need to handle the raised boost, or whatever

I hate you, that looks way better than my TII. I wanted an S5, I wanted a rebuilt, I wanted new paint, and you got it all for only $1,500 more than I did for a needing rebuild, needing paint, needing a new bumper (is dented and i'm going S5), and needing a new exhaust. It is my first car and I've learned from my mistake, you lucky S.O.B. you have exactly what I want even the color is better. If I'm comming off mean or pissed just know i'm jealous you lucky lucky son of a ...................

But seriously congradulations and it looks like that'll bring you lots of fun.

Heh. Well, this is actually my second car... the car I learned on (and thusly vented my early-driver stupidity) was a naturally aspirated Volvo 740... a 3965 pound car with 114 horsepower. I drove that bitch for two years, being passed by Neons and Plymouth Voyagers.... revenge is sweet!!!

yeah you deserve it man. Enjoy every minute you drive it. Mine makes me smile ear to ear every startup, every time I depress that clutch, every time I step inside or even look at it. Owning one of thse cars is something special an dI'm happy to see another good one is out there, taken car eof. I see so many that the owners must've neglected so much it angers me. Take good car eo fit, keep it clean, and try not to overmod it and blow it up like most 7s, that one is nice enough already (but a couple of performance mods here and there are great too)

^ Ditto on that. Welcome to the T2 world! I'm a firm believer on keeping one that nice as stock as posible with just the needed safety mods and upgrades to make it fun.

haha you know, I felt like it was one of those motivational looking in th edistance daydreaming scenes of amovie when I typed it. I'm glad you guys didn't think it was corny or anyhting because that's how I, and I'm sure many rx-7, owners feel.
