new engine woes

just got done putting a rebuilt engine in my car it starts up but wont idle.
i can keep it running with my foot but will die if i leave it to itself.
checked my codes which read 18(throttle sensor-narrow band), after reading this i adjusted my tps. and the check engine light is on when i keep it running.
any ideas?
its a s5 n/a
thanks

How in the world do you adjust your tps narrow band? I know how to adjust the wide (with the screw right?) but I have no idea how the narrow would be adjusted. I in no way mean to highjack your thread, so I will offer my only thoughts. I had a similar issue, after the engine was warm it would die whenever I let the engine return to idle, turned out that I had a vacuum hose that came disconnected when I was changing the plugs. Plugged it back in and haven't had it die on me since.

The S5 has 2 TPS' Only one you adjust, the other the computer will adjust. You should only be adjusting the narrowband.
