New engine, idles and cruises beautifully, problem under acceleration
Hey yall, having a problems after installing my new motor. I will try to accurately portray the problems in this post, and am currently moving pics off of my iPhone so I can take a video and upload it soon. Here's the problem:
BTW car is a 1990 T2 swap, but this isn't the first T2 motor, it ran perfectly fine before I blew my first turbo motor.
The car starts and idles perfectly fine, no problems whatsoever, and in neutral, I can give it some gas and it will rev all the way up to redline without any problem. The problem comes when I give it any more than just a little bit of throttle. It immediately stops revving and won't do anything. I can drive it around my block fine going very slowly from gear to gear, I just cannot give it much speed or it will bog out until I let off the throttle a bit.
I am knowledgable on the workings of the engine and have checked and rechecked for vacuum leaks, no problems there (emissions is all removed), I know that the engine is getting plenty of spark and has very fresh spark plugs, and I know that fuel is definitely getting to the engine, and fuel filter is new as well. I adjusted the CAS to make sure it was perfect, adjusted the throttle cable, the TPS, and I am out of ideas.
I hope that someone who knows more on how this car works can guide me. I think that it is something electronic/sensors as everything mechanical seems to be working great.
I have only one more idea, but not really a way to check it, maybe someone would know. It is a basically stock turbo engine except for removed emissions, intake, and straightpipe exhaust with mufflers. I installed a walbro 255 pump on the car last week thinking that my current Jay Racing pump may be bad. I don't remember if I had installed the jay racing pump before or after my last engine blew, but I know that it has similar flow to the walbro and is basically the same pump, just not a walbro. I am thinking maybe I am running way too rich, and under acceleration I am giving the engine too much fuel. I didn't think this could be a problem, because although the pump is sending insane amounts of fuel for how much the engine needs, I was under the impression that the injectors would only pump the correct amount into the intake, but maybe I am wrong with that? I'm not sure how the fuel electronics and injectors are wired so that will have to be someone else's call. Hopefully someone can help me out!

OHHHH. Is that almost definitely the cause of it? I apologize for not understanding, I figured that I would get an OMP code, but it wouldn't matter because it was getting the oil. That makes sense though I guess haha. I'll post the video for the hell of it too.
try plugging in your old OMP and take it for a drive, the OMP doesn't have to actually be attached to the engine but it does need to be plugged in.

and yes, that does look like limp mode.
