New engine Help

Well i decided to buy a new engine after my 89 t2 blew. So i friggin buy a Supposed S5 engine from jspecautosports and soon in a week i have it before my eyes. So me and a buddy of mine do the swap in 2 days and then start noticing things not lining up and tubes to short. Also lotta plugs seem not used and non-excistant on the new motor. So i do some research and realize its a friggin S4 motor (frigging basterds) We try and see if we can just wing it and connect mostly everything needed (with the s5 harness having some empty plugs) and start her up. Well we kinda got her going then friggin gas blew out the damn Dipstick skyhigh. We really dont know why but it seemed like we had the main fuel line in the wrong line. So we fix that and now the engine starts and cranks for 4 secs then stalls out.

Well all in all i just wanna know if a s5 engine harness and line fit a s4 engine and was there something we did wrong.

Until you get that answer (which I dont know so I'ma keep my mouth shut), check to make sure your AFM is good. That's one thing that could cause a problem like that.

Like I said before, Im not sure about that so I'm not gonna say yes or no. Also, check the TPS, make sure it's adjusted right.
