new dual feed fuel setup idea???????

here is the theory

4 - 6 an 90 degree adapters (threads on both sides) $12.95 ea.

2 - 6 an y adapters $29.95 ea

10 - 6 an to flare adapters $7.88 ea

the idea is make the 90 degre bends fit into the fuel rail. then put the flare adapters onto the 90's. also put the flares onto the the y adapters run fuel lines to each side with clamps. then last run one section to a single inlet and outlet fpr on the return line to the y . then the hose coming off the frp to the hard return line. run a line from the fuel filter to the other y and spend $190.50.

this would require running a non braided hose saving money. It would also allow for the hose to absorb some of the pulsations. Plus running the pressure regulator in that manor if it had a built in pd as well would cut it out. In theory creating a solid system as long as you check the hoses after time.

any thoughts?

in theory yes but ill let everyone know as soon as the parts get here and i do it (this is going to be done on a s5 motor in a s4 chasis with alot of other mods done at the same time so it will take a min to get everything right. plus im doing this on my fresh startup after a full s5 conversion soooo.........)

Hey I had a similar idea.
but instead I would run two totally different fuel rails, and the secondary fuel line would be pure methanol, so under full throttle you would have a 1/2 mix. And it would fly.

I always have methanol around cuz I run a race car that uses it.

If you are going to do that I would run a -8an on the feed side.

similar to this http://www.fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/FUEL/pararail.jpg look at the watermark.

the only major difference I see is that you put a fpr after you put the primary and secondary fuel rail return lines back together. Your system has the fpr and pd after everything just like the stock system so there is no reason for it not to work.

in other words it should be perfectlt safe,

Ryosuke

How is this a new idea? It's just simple (and very obvious) plumbing. The question should be how could it not work.

There's nothing wrong with your idea, it's just not new. If I ever feel the need to do a parallel rail set-up I'll probably do just that. I won't be blowing buckets of money on AN fitting and SS hose though...
