New Day - New Problem

Alrighty, i swear, my car willstop breaking when A. I stop Driving it. or B. I replace Every part that can possibly break

I have been havnig problems with my 87 n/a running occansonaly hot the entire time i have owned it, but this time i dont know the problem, maby my water pump?

It has a brand new radiaotr and the guy said he replaced the waterpump, but the housing is a little rusty, so i dont belive him, it was saterday i think, i drove to walmrt to get some Gunk to clean the engine bay and she ran warm all the way there, and on the way back, unless i was doing 65+ the temp started to creap up, by the time i came home it was running 3/4 up and still climbing, i checked the radiator, wanstn very low, ther was a little more coolent in the resavore than when cold but later i could hear it gurgling and sucking it back in, later i opend the radiaot cap and found a orange peice of rubber floating near the top, it was about 2.5 inches long and maby 1/10th inch diameter

Are there orange seal's in our engine? or is it some contaminet that could be blocking my system in other places

When it was overheating my oil pressure was at 60 no mater what rpm i was at, but when i got it, the gauge didnt work at all till about 100 miles of driving then like 5 days later it just came up when i was driving

Is this waterpump? blocked system , or what im confused and sad that once again, i cant drive my rx7

The orange stuff you saw was most likely a piece of silicone from when the guy put the water pump on.

By creeping, do you mean it eventaully get's up to half-way, or above half-way?

Did you have a system FLUSH done? If not, I'd recomend it! I mean an ACID flush, not just a coolant "flush" swap.

Are you using the stock MAZDA thermostat? If you've had it replaced, they most likely used an afermarket one. They're okay, but not nearly as good as the MAZDA one as far as water-flow is concerned. If you had the work done at a MAZDA dealer, they should have put Mazda 'stat in.

Other than that, and short of a small water-jacket leak, I'm out of ideas.

Fan Clutch - Ill Check, have not checked

Thermostat, I just had replaced, brand new 195 and gasket from napa not a month ago, now that i think about it, i probably should of goten a 185 or something

I dont think that he replaced the waterpump, if you look at the housing, its faded just as much asx the rest of the engine, they guy already lied about many other things, he said it had new eugsasut, it was new mufflers with new Heat shilds surronding Rusy Cats.. He said he hadnt driveni it many miles sence he got it, Lied, the spedo cable was pulled and millage didnt add up, who knows for how long, when i went to buy it, he said it was a 1.3L 4 Cylinder and that he had just replaced the "Waste Pump"

if the h2o pump is going, but not gone, woudl that just cause poor circulation?

Maby i will haev coolent flushed, there was some nasy's at bottem of resavore

thx guys, i miss my rx7 already

A bad/going waterpump ABSOLUTELY will cause "heat-creep."

I'd certainly have it flushed. You can do it yourself REALLY easily. Go to O'Reilly's and pick up some acid-flush. Follow the directions; it's easy and it'll save you $40-$100 dollars.
