New cpu?
New cpu?
I have finally decided to get a new cpu board after screwing with my old one with the possessed beeping, just like to ask if anyone has bought the one from Mazdatrix 86-88na or one from another year, are they any good? thanx
So you unplugged the CPU and the beeping stopped? I wouldn't be wasting money until I checked that.
And if that did stop it, when is it beeping?
The Mazdatrix ones are brand new.

Ah, you have multiple issues there.
If it is the key reminder that is always on, chances are the key sensor switch on the bottom of the column is bad or loose.
If it is a long buzzer while driving is either low oil, or low coolant in the radiator (not the overflow tank).
But if it is the beeper while driving, and opening and closing the door stops it, then it sounds like a shorted door trigger wire at the switch in the door jam. Pull the switch and check to see if it is wet or the insulation has been damaged.
If it is only stopping when you open the door, then that points to either a wet CPU or a blown or missing Room Fuse. Verts pick up leaks pretty easy, because people don't always keep the drain channels clean.
The 88 vert used two different CPUs depending on option package. If you have a non P package car (cloth seats, no headrest speakers) then you would use the FB01 CPU. If you have a P package car (leather seats and head rest speakers) then it uses the FB05 CPU. Now you can use a FB05 style CPU in the non P package car, but you don't gain much as the door key lights and other things that the FB05 would light, are not in the car.

Thanks Icemark for replying to this, guess i'll be getting the mazdatrix new one. I've checked the door switchs first and cleaned them up they were in good shape. the car was my buddies whick he bought new in 88, it's a great car, all original and everything works but that darn buzzer can drive you nuts
