New car acting up

My new TII that ive had for a month is acting up. Here is the deal:

Right before I went out of town my car started acting up. When I changed the oil it smelled like Gas. Then when I was on the freeway, I went to pass someone, and my car just wouldn't go. It built up to about 0.5 bar of boost(6-7psi) and then just stopped and I smelled a strong sent of gas. I tried it out again and it just stopped like hitting fuel cut. I have a FCD though so it couldn't be that. Can anyone help? I think that the injectors were just cleaned and serviced too.

Today if cut out once and the second time was fine. I don't know whats going on with it.

Yeah I think that the previous owner got them serviced at the same place that I did. If so then they give you new ones when they service the injectors. I was looking through the parts box that he had in the back of the car, and I noticed that plastic spacer sitting there. Do you think that would cause the above symptoms if not put on there?

Exclamation AAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!

UH that plastic spacer MUST be there!

otherwise your blowing gass and manifold pressure out of the injector holes!!!!

STOP NOW, AND REPLACE THE SPACER BEFORE YOU BURST INTO FLAMES!

Also verify that your pintle caps and rubber seals arent pinched badly.
you may need all new rubber on the injectors and its thier fault for not putting the spacer in, so they should give you the rubber parts. (all new)

They are probably pinched wrong now and need replacing. (I wouldnt reuse them now even if they looked good.)

Is this the black plastic spacer that's about 2" long, rounded ends, with two holes in it?&nbsp If it is, this is the spacer for the primary fuel injectors rail mount.&nbsp If this is not in place, the fuel injector seals sit wrong and could cause a fuel leak.

That sucks. I guess that I better take a look at that tomorrow. Im not sure if its there or not. I just know that there was one in a parts box in the back. He may have put a new one in and found it later, but I guess I better make sure. I will also get the new rubber pieces.

do they have the rubber pieces at parts stores, or hardware stores. I know that the ones on the top are just O rings, but where would I pick up the rubber pieces for the bottom of the injectors?

I know that plastic spacer is easy to lose track of. I forgot it on my last TII, and had to take it back apart.

NAPA stores have the parts....

NAPA has the injector rubber you need.

Just make sure that the NAPA you go to has a machine shop or at least has a fuel inector seal kit available that they can get parts from.

Remember if the shop did this, then you have to make them get you the parts.

PM me if you need the Mazda part numbers.

The guy that I bought the car from was a mechanic, so he probably just sent the injectors in. Its funny, cuz you would think that a mechanic knows what he is doing, but I've had to fix quite a few of his screw ups.

I dont know what him "sending them in" has to do with him fogetting the spacer, but the rubber seals are probably pinched now that they have been clamped at an angle.

Be aware of the possible need for new seals.

I was just saying that it was the owner that messed it up and not the shop that serviced them.
