New Belts

Belts are supposed to be easy to change out, but Damned if that nut on the idler pulley for the P/S won't budge. Has anyone come across any magical solutions, other than the usual lubricating fludis, that can make that nut give? The last thing I want to do is strip the thing.

I assume you referring to the big nut on the pulley, not the 10mm jack screw.
I forget the size - 17mm?

I have used a box end wrench & hit it with a dead blow mallet.

Without air tools, my dead blow mallet gets used regularly.

Yeah, that's the one... I'll give these suggestions a try. Thanks.
