New ACT 6 puck sprung clutch

Hi,

does somebody use it ? You can't see it on their website, but I email them and it's for sale now. Any comments about this clutch ?

Thanks!

Alex

with clutches, always remember to buy only as much as your car needs for the expected power level. Puck clutches don't last all that long either.

You aren't going to find any experience out there yet. There aren't any spring center ACT race discs out in the marketplace yet. We started assembling them last week. They should be shipping in the next couple days. It's been a long time coming.

Our puck clutches will last just fine, especially the spring center puck. The solid center discs will tend to eat the splines out of the disc depending on the application because of torsional vibration. Remember that the spring center discs will be quieter and potentially last longer than solid center, but it tends to chatter worse (depending on application) and shift slower than solid race discs.

Sorry about the site. We lost our IT guy who managed the website updates so it will be a while before we get the site up to date.
