New 88 GTU, to me

Hi, i have beene reading quite a bit about the feuls systems in rx-7s. I havnt been able to find anything on the problem i have though. If i start the car when its been sitting for a couple hours all of the fuel has drained out of the feul line back into the feul tank. i know this because my motor is not flooded when i start it. So when i start it up it takes a good 10 seconds of cranking to return fuel back to the motor. The guy i bought it from suggested the fuell pump or the fuel pressure regulator is bad. I checked to see if the pulsation damper is leaking but i smell no gas under the hood... Also the car often idles at 1500 rpm, if it does ever drop down to 700-800 rpm it is rough. I am gonna go get some seafoam and run a couple cans through, replace the oil and sparkplugs. Anyways thank u all for your help in advance.

why do you think that the fuel is draining back??? Is it very hard to start (as in you have to crank it a long time)?

i crank on it for 10-15 seconds then it starts with no fuss, i think its draining back because i do have to crank on it to start the fuel pump and return fuel to the moter, i am just wondering if it sounds like a hole in the fuel line, a problem with the fuel pump(wich i dought) or a problem with the fuel pressure regualator, i am also thining about carburating my 13B so should i not worry about this problem till then>

If you jumper the fuel pump connector under the hood (yellow two pin connector on the passengers shock tower) and turn the key on for 15 seconds does the car start just fine??

If so then yes it is the anti drain back valve in the fuel pump.
