Unhappy Neo SAFC

First off, I have searched and did read the FAQs on the SAFC forum, so now it is question time. I Just installed a NEO SAFC in my 91 non turbo. I did everything I was supposed to, when I powered the car on(no startingthe engine just getting the idiot lights all on) and programmed according to my instructions. The minute I started the car it started ran for about 3 seconds and shut off(similiar filling to not have your MAF sensor plugged in). I am lost as I have no idea what to do, any help would be greatly apprectaed! Thanks

Can't you read the output of the afm on the SAFC????? If so, what is the value? You should be able to do this with the key to just ON, engine OFF.

Off hand it sounds like that wire from the AFM is open.

You'd go to SENSOR CHECK as shown on page 39 of the free online manual, and read what the IN1 voltage is.........or is not.

I'm not a NEO owner, just owned a SAFC once upon a time long ago in a far away land.

It's AFC Neo, not Neo SAFC.

^ Ah theres the problem right there!

I don't know how the S5 ECUs act with the AFM wire open but on S4s the engine just runs real real rich. Different than if you unplug the AFM where it will run for 3 seconds and die. BUT, possibly maybe S5 ecus are different and what HAILERS stated is true.

Sure you don't have the Input and Output reversed for the AFM?

It seems you need to check the yellow AND white wires installation on the NEO.

Wiring and Installation documents found here: http://www.apexi-usa.com/support_wiring.asp

EDIT: And now for the snotty remark of the day: I think I'd have spent a few bucks more and bought a RTEK
