Unhappy need your advice guys!

2 weeks ago some *** clown turned left in front of me and i hit him. (damn Fords) my 91 FC vert suffered a cracked nose and bent the quarter panel enough to make my left head light stick.its not really that bad. Now heres the deliema: the damage is est @ 2400. the insurance co. says if i write the car off they will send me a check minus the salvage title. or they can fix it, but they are jerking me because they say its old and parts are scarce.i take it they dont use the internet. so what the hell should i do.
1.take the money and buy a bomex kit and t2 engine/tranny combo.but make it a salvage?
2.let them fix it.which could take forever.
3.sell it privately with the damage and buy an FD.

what is my car worth now privately anyways?
Black 91 vert 178,000 mi.(runs strong)
autometer gauges(A/F and Vacuum)
v-racing wing black
ignited pushbutton start(installed but not hooked up yet)
reactive carbon fiber intake sys.
trust strutbar
brembo front slotted/cross drilled rotors
reactive stainless and weapon-r blue hoses and vacuum lines throughout.
greddy shift ****.

i know this is alot of Q's but heres one more for you rotor-techs? what should my vacuum gauge read at idle?

Blue Book is $5000-5500, plus I'm sure that those mods are worth extra to you even though they don't add to the value of the car. They knew "your car was old and parts were scarce" when they cashed your last insurance payment check. Make them fix it!

Yeah the quick, easy, profitable way out for them is to write the car off.

If the frames/body are not bent, then I would fix it up and make them pay.

so you guys are saying i should let them write it off as a salvage even though the frame isnt hurt? collect the cash and fix the car my way? my girlfriend and my parents are all saying this car is worthless cause is 10 years old.even though they like driving it in the hills with the top down, and every rotor head who sees it wants to buy it from me! they all drive Fords(*******).so im getting alot of crap from them to go and get something freakin new. man they just dont know about these cars.(*******). thanks for the posts.

dont let them write it off.. they will give you a horrible offer.. if u do any mods to the car it will lower the value to them.. they dont really care.. save the car.. buy the bomex kit! keep the 7!

What will they give you for the car? If it's less than $5000, then make them fix it.
