Man, I'm doing this from memory, so if I'm wrong Hailers can jump my *** for free, but the red wires should go to the reverse switch IIRC. I think they were two seperate wires with bullet connectors on each wire...

I can confirm that much for you Wayne. The 2 bullet connectors that plug into the back of the trany is for the reveres light. The other 2 plugs I have yet to do/figure out. I know the others are the 5th gear switch "used for shift light" and neutral switch. Verifying the other 2 I don’t know. I do know the TII trany and N/A trany use different quick connectors.

The pic you show does not have any factory wires or colors on them. This is making for guesswork. I can narrow it down for you by saying the clip you hold in your hand is ether part of the neutral sensor or the 5th gear sensor. The other connection of these 2 is a single wire 14ga.

edit: Well the 2 wire quick connector on the passenger side of tranny is the neutral switch. On the driver side there is a group of 7 wires two of them have a quick connector and a single with a spade this is the 5th gear sensor and at the end of the tail is 2 bullet connectors this is your reveres switch.

The Neutral connector on tranny is a F and the 5th gear one is a M connector.

The single spade is F on my USDM N/A and was M on my Jspec TII tranny.

Knowing which switch/ wires on the tranny they go to should be easy- it'll be the OTHER two bullet connectors, lol...

Yep, get some alligator clips and hook the meter leads via the clips to the wiring coming off the switch. Meter on ohms. In reverse, you should have continuity, all other gears no continuity...

Had to get my book just to make sure everything I said was good...

Harness side wire colors are black/ yellow and red/ green...

Tranny wiring is red for both (they're not polarity sensitive)...

Switch will be closed in reverse (continuity)...
