need taillight help

alright my radio fried the wire for my tail lights and dash lights to come on so i have heard you can create a switch pretty easily to turn the taillights on and i was just gonna do that to fix it but i need some help or a how to / step by step for installing one of these switches ...i need to know size of wire....how to tap into the wire ect...thanks for the help

Did the radio fry it, or did you fry it putting the radio in?

Dunno where you heard that, but most people try to fix what they've broken rather than make things worse by hacking up stuff they don't understand. Do some proper troubleshooting first. Tell us exactly what you did and what the symptoms are. Make sure you check the ILLUM fuse before posting...

Also keep in mind that you should check the fuses with a meter. A fuse can be shot but not appear "broken" as you would think a blown fuse would. In your case, if it's a fuse, it will probably be obvious but if not double check it. A bad fuse, but not broken, has been the source of frustration for me in the past.

lets see checked fuses w/ meter they check out ...you can see the melted port...i dont have money to buy a new circuit and y would i when i can just create a switch...anyway does anyone know how to create this switch or what ground i can use and tap into ?
