Need some suggestions for my Turbo II
Im building an FC3S and i was thinking about going rack and pinion steering so i can harness the power being used by the belt driven power steering pump
ok, power steering is still rack and pinion, it's just powered
lots of people do it, aparently the p/s on S4s is pretty bad, In don't mind it on my S5 as much. all you have to do is go to a junk yard and get a manual rack and toss it in in the place of the p/s rack, and take the pump, lines, and belt off.
I like my power steering, but a lot of people like the manual racks, it's all about personal preference.
I hope I answered your question, there isn't much of a question there.

First off, there really isn't much power to be gained. Just a FYI.
It's more of a cleaner engine bay/more open workspace/slight weight loss gain than anything.
I've used the manual rack and I liked it. My current car has the 15:1 speed sensitive p/s rack and I love it.
To each his own but take into consideration what you are gaining/losing.
