Need some help here. 87 t2 Chassis with JDM engine...

Hey everyone.. I have owned RX7s in the past but not a T2.. and definetely not one which a japanese motor swapped into it in one of the worst engine swaps I've ever witnessed....

Some history: A friend just bought the car for $1300, car included: 87 t2 chassis, good interior, ok body, japanese 13bt already installed, old motor available, alaready picked up old turbo, japanese intercooler, JDM and USDM UIM and LIM, JDM and USDM TBs, etc.. pretty much all the parts except spare accessories (alt, ps pump, etc). Upon picking up the car it would run, but not idle, would not go past 4000rpm, power booster didn't work, and it wouldn't boost (or maybe it would but dropping at 4k made it hard to tell.

What we've done so far: Capped off lots and lots of vacuum lines for the emissions crap, changed timing from *45* degrees to 5 (L1), changed coils, wires, plugs, hooked up the vac line for the brake booster, changed TPS (still not adj perfectly though).. I think that's about it.

Results of what we've done: Car sorta idles now (like a VW.. 350rpm->1000rpm->350rpm->1000rpm->250rpm->1000rpm.. hot or cold), car boosts nicely now (and shoots flames out the downpipe :P ), and car revs to 6200ish.. tach sometimes doesn't work at all, then the clock gets brighter and tach starts working again.. so I think that's some electrical issue not the tach wire.. boost gauge also works sometimes, but not always (we might have capped its line, but the boost/pressure sensor does have a line going to it...). We have noticed a few sensors that aren't connected (most likely explaining the idle?) and the plugs to not appear to be on the harness at all, so it looks like we're going to start making/splicing parts of the harness...

I'm looking for any suggestions on what to check/do to get this car running correctly.. pics of a car with a FMIC would be VERY helpful so we can see where some of these lines/harness wires are supposed to go. I have experience with FBs (very little on the FBs though) and FCs but only the NA variety. The owner owns a SCCA IT7 FB racecar and his mechanic/friend knows 12as. So both of us have knowledge/experience with rotaries and RX7s in general, just not much TurboII experience.

Thanks!

See section 4b. It should have diagrams of everything you'll need.

I will look in the manual again.. last I looked at it it seemed very biased towards N/A motors.. maybe I'm missing something.. but the manual wont explain why it's cutting at 6200.. so suggestions on that are still welcome.
