Need some help guys wheels wont spin when put in gear.
Hey guys I need some help I have a 88 T II and the clutch master and slave cylinders went out. I installed a new clutch master, a used slave cylinder and bled the fluid. Now when I start the car and put it in gear the wheels wont turn at all in first or reverse and the reverse lights dont even come on when put in reverse.
Any thing I should check or do? The master and slave seem to be working just fine so I am confused on what to check next.

ya the cllutch is working cuz the car stalled when I let out the clutch in gear. The transmission shoud be fine because it was fine before my clutch went out.

i know this sounds stupid but
1 - are all the brakes stuck on ( can you push the car in neutral )
2 - is the clutch stuck ( my kit car did this - to free it i put it into first , and started the car up - when it lurched forward it unstuck the clutch )
Just a thought though
Thanks

The transmission could have 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th selected with the stick in neutral.
When you let out the clutch in neutral, does the car try to move?

Jack up the back end, start the car, stick it in gear, get out and look under car, is driveshaft spinning?
If yes, bad differential/broken halfshaft
If no, 1) clutch doesn't engage ever 2) clutch is so badly worn it just slips even in gear 3) tranny hates you :-)
