I'm either going to get a 86-91 Supra or 86-91 RX7. While I have decent knowledge on the 7 - mainly from this forum, there is little viable info on the Supra. I like the look of both cars. So either will suit me. I'm asking (I know this is a RX7 forum) for your unbiased opinion on which car would suit me better?

I'm a college student who does not have a lot of $$$. So, maintenance-wise, fuel efficiency (had to throw that jab in there on the 7) and better value for the buck, is what I'm looking for. Which car would you suggest?

 

i dunno what other ppl think...but for some reason i have tended to notice older toyotas like to blow head gaskets around 100k miles. anyone else heard of this? my friends supra did that and also a friend of my dads supra did that, both were the generation supra you are looking for. i have also read about others having similar problems that required engine rebuilds.

just my 2 cents on the supras, and im not saying the rx7's are without problems. i think both cars are sweet but i like the rx7 more just because its different and rotaries are cool.

im also gonna go out on a limb here and say there is probably a forum similar to this one for supras.

o and btw, the mk3 supra was till 1992 i belive, not 91
