My car keep cranking after start and on even in off position.Doesn't stop until disconnect battery.

first test, connect a test light to the solenoid wire at starter. light always on after start position. engine cranking.

second test, unplug the blue jumper plug at the trailing side, the connect to run wire ( black / red) at ignition, light turns off at on position. ofcourse the car doesn't start.

third test, start car normal, while on there is a dragging noise at between tranny and motor, car is on, unplug the connector then the test light goes off at the ignition but noise doesnt stop, then turn off engine but i have the key in my hands and the engine is cranking so i try to pull the solenoid wire out and the engine is still cranking until battery is disconnected.

can it just be the starter/solenoid??
i want to know what u guys think the problem is.
is a 86 5 speed na

Get a new starter and solenoid. If that doesn't work then check the key ignition!
