need some help

I just bought a 1987 mazda rx7 Gxl. It has been sitting for a few years but I got it to run. So I need a lot of brake work and a new clutch but I'd like to know what else I should check out before I put it on the road. The engine has 88,000 miles on it.
update: I'm asking this because faqs don't always cover everything

I assume "check everything" would be a little vague?

Seriously, everything needs to be inspected. If you have not started the engine, then do a search for "storage", "sitting" or a variation. I have posted detailed instructions on restarting a car properly after long storage periods before.

If you have started, much of the same stuff still applies. All fluids need to be changed (don't forget to drain the gas and washer fluid), full 60K tuneup, all belts and hoses, etc. A thorough chassis inspection needs to take place as well.
